Golf carts have become an important part of pop culture. An ever-growing business, golf carts can be found in parades, in RV parks, in gated communities, at airports, in weddings, on trails, and, of course, on the golf course.

Our staff loves golf carts, cool aftermarket parts, and new products, but we also love information. And there is more information than ever available for golf cart enthusiasts. Here are two of our favorite places to get news, information, and the latest golf cart stuff.

Golf Cart Facebook Groups

DIY Custom Golf Cart Enthusiasts. A group for people who love their golf carts and want to share products, ideas, and solutions, this group is a fun place for golf cart owners.

Custom Hunting Golf Carts. Transforming golf carts into hunting buggies is an affordable and fun way to get great use from your cart during hunting season. This group is a community of hunters who use their golf carts as part of the sport.

Golf Carts For Sale. Consisting of a large group of people across the country, this group is the buy and sell destination for golf cart lovers.

In addition to these groups, there are local golf cart groups across the country with members who are eager to help answer golf cart questions.

Golf Cart Publications

In the past, golf cart publications have been either salesy catalogs or directed strictly towards golf cart dealers. But, not any more...

Golf Car Options. Backed by 25 plus years of experience in the golf car industry, Golf Car Options Magazine is the foremost source for golf car owners, enthusiasts, and retailers. Golf Car Options Magazine features the latest in vehicle and product news, reviews, repair tips, and photos of how readers are modifying and using their golf cars. Available in digital and print, this is a must have magazine.

Golf Car Advisor. Designed to be a resource for golf cart dealers, this free publication still has some useful information for golf cart owners including the following:

WHEELZ Golf Cart Blog. This blog as well as other industry blogs are useful in providing golf cart advice, maintenance tips, and innovative product solutions.

I have a 1985 EZGO electric cart. It moves F and R without the. peddle being depressed. I just replaced the speed wiper and cleaned all the contacts.
I’m sure I have the wiring correct. Don;t know why this is happening.

Im thinking about buying my first golf cart and wonder if I should look for a good used gas or electric 48v? I will use it to mainly run on paved streets in town as our little-bitty city permits this to get the mail; groceries etc. Im 83 and in very good health! THANK YOU

2017 ezgo valor go up and down hills all day long at the campground. Put bigger tires and a 7 inch lift. Took the cart back to the campground after doing the work to it. Now on the same hills I can only go 1/3 to half way up the hill. Have to tell everyone to get off and walk the rest of the way up the hill. What do I need to do to make sure my riders dont have to get off the cart and walk.

i have a 1991 G8 Yamaha. It have been having trouble shifting into high gear. In other words, sometimes it has trouble getting up hills and other times it flies. I have been told it is the clutches.
I am not sure what to replace. the front clutch or rear.
OR
is that really the problem?

2013 Yamaha gas g 29.
When first try to use it turns over like it wants to start you have to keep trying until it finally catches and runs. Once it starts I don’t have that problem the rest of day. But you have to keep turning it over until the batterie is drained before it catches and runs.

Sadly, it sounds like it may be an issue with the controller.

Jack the rear wheels off ground and put on jackstands so cart does run over someone or something.

Disconnect battery pack from solenoid. Remove cables from B- and M- terminals on controller. Unplug molex connector on top of controller.

Wait 5 minutes for filter capacitors to discharge. Measure between B+ and B- terminals with voltmeter to be sure.
When the voltage is zero, measure the conductivity between the B- and M- terminals.
Should conduct in one direction, but not the other.
If you have conductivity in both directions, the controller is bad.
